Great session. I just wish there'd been time to see the rest of what Austin had planned.

On a technical note, I noticed, and I think someone else remarked, that their "hand" kept getting raised unintentionally. Maybe someone could track down why that happens and let participants know about it next time? Feedback for GoToWebinar people: it's hard to tell from the icon whether the hand is up or down. I noticed the arrow, but it could be bigger.

Some more specific feedback on what made it great:

I really enjoyed watching Austin and Mike do their sketchnotes. They were clearly listening well, even if they were doing it from a different point of view than Sunni does. It was also instructive to see how Austin moved and scaled in Sketchbookpro to "arrange pictures and words in space."

Also enjoyed seeing others notes online from #viznotes on Twitter, Twitpic, and Flickr.

Thanks to all for sharing!

Thanks, Karen! I will see if I can't post the rest of my slides somewhere -- the biggest thing I missed was getting to talk about speech balloons, thought bubbles, and captions as ways to alter drawings...but that's the way it goes

I have to say, I was really skeptical about Sketchbook Pro and drawing on the computer, but I really loved using it today. I felt bad about "cheating", but I felt like it made up for my drawing handicap (much prefer ink on paper!)

Here are a couple pages from my notes today. Loved the faces grid!

Eden,

The quest for a universal icon language is one of those holy grail quests. Here are a couple things to chew on:
