As Germany's largest city, Berlin has lots to offer everybody who visits the town regardless of their interests.  First documented in the 13th century, Berlin was founded when it affiliated with Cölln in 1307.  Compared to other cities in Europe, Berlin is relatively young, but its history remains unique.  The city has gone through tremendous changes especially over the last 300 years with significant population shifts both up and down over very short time frames.
