That’s right, today’s a big news day at VizThink!  We’ve launched a new wiki for the Visual Thinking community.  Here’s just some of the things it will contain:

  • Conference session details – including bios, descriptions, additional materials, outputs, notes (mind maps, sketches, etc), photographs, video & audio recordings, etc.
  • Visual thinking encyclopedia – we’re building a central source of bios of key players, industry suppliers, and topics such as facilitation, mind mapping, and graphic recording among many, many others.

In fact, we’ve pre-populated the wiki with a lot of information already and it will continue to grow.  A lot of people have been asking for detailed information on sessions at VizThink ’08.  Our facilitators are starting to turn those in now.  We will have 30 or so breakout sessions, and about half of those titles and descriptions can be found now at:

Who can access the wiki?  It’s free for everyone to view.  Through February during our beta stage, you’ll have to be an attendee of the conference to be able to edit pages.  If you’re already attending, watch your mailbox over the next few days for your username and password.  Our plan is to then open it up to the broader community as we launch our social networking system next year.  Lots more details will be coming on that.
