Helping a Student

We’ve got a broad range of people coming to the conference, including a few students from our field.  Patrick is a Human Computer Interaction student at Iowa State University doing research on computer-based tools to help with visual communication.  He’s already attending the conference under our special student rate, but wants to find someone to split a hotel room at the conference hotel.

While, normally, this isn’t something we would publish on the blog and don’t want to get into the practice of connecting roommates via the blog, we felt it was a worthy cause and wanted to do what we could to help out.  In the upcoming months, we’ll be launching a social networking system that will make these connections much easier.
