6 Community Events Coming Up in September

As we near closer to the VizThink Europe conference this October, it’s exciting to see our local communities continue to grow. Last July, all three of the active communities held events – which made for a busy month. But that pales in comparison to what we’ve got coming in the month of September.

Amsterdam, Madrid & Seattle
This month we’re pleased to bring three more communities into the fold as Amsterdam, Madrid and Seattle are all planning to have events as well. Across the month of September all six communities will be having events – so it’s going to be a busy one.

September 11 – VizThink London 3

September 16 – VizThink Toronto 8

September 18 – VizThink Madrid 1

September 23 – VizThink Seattle 1

September 25 – VizThink Netherlands 1 (Amsterdam)

Other Communities looking to Start
If you don’t see a local community in your area there are lots more where people have expressed an interest in getting something going. If you’d like to participate in, or even help organize, a local event drop me an email at community [at] vizthink.com. Some of the cities where there is some momentum right now:

VizThink Amsterdam is actually planning to be a bit more inclusive as well and really become VizThink Netherlands with events that move between a few cities, so even if you’re not right in Amsterdam get in touch with the group as they may be out your way in the near future.

You’ll find groups for most, if not all, these cities on the VizThink Community Site as well. If you don’t have a login/account drop me an email or join our mailing list and we’ll get you one.

Also Coming Up
If you can’t make it to a local community event, or one of our conferences, you might find this interesting – On September 16th we also have VizThink’s first ever online workshop.

For this event, we’ve pulled together the best in our industry to lead this workshop including Dave Gray, David Sibbet, Karl Gude, and Nancy Duarte. They will show you how to visualize your ideas so you can think and communicate with greater clarity and effectiveness.
