VizThink Opening Reception – Open to the General Public
Just 3 days from now, on Sunday, February 22, 2009 VizThink ’09 kicks off with our opening reception which runs from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the Fairmont San Jose Lobby Lounge. The opening receptions have been a great place to kick off the conference by mixing and mingling with fellow participants, industry experts, and colleagues. The Fairmont Lobby Lounge is nearly ideally suited for small group conversations with cozy chairs and sofas, coffee tables, and plenty of good food and drink available for purchase as well. We’ll be sure to have a few markers, index cards, and post-its spread throughout to help get the creative juices going. If you’re attending the conference, you’ll be able to pick up your name badge there to save time during the Monday morning rush.
In addition, for the first time ever, we’re opening up the reception to the local visual thinking community, even if they’re not attending the conference. No advanced registration is necessary and the cost is free! Just head to the VizThink registration desk when you arrive and fill out your name tag.
