Rapid Viz: Sketching, not Drawing

“We don’t want to draw, we want to sketch”

A fun little video popped up on the #vizthink stream on twitter this past week that is focused on “rapid visualization”, or simply the idea of sketching rather than drawing.

At four minutes it’s a quick watch and has some handy tips for sketching words, people & perspective – the focus here isn’t on quality but rather quickly capturing ideas in as clear a way as possible.

I’ve embedded the video below – enjoy, and as they say at the end – “Go forth and be visual!”

(hat tip to VizThinker @fritzism for the find.)
